Awareness programme
Date: 18-09-2019
One of the most prestagious programmer “SAKHI” intended to have been established for welfare of women in Andhra Pradesh. It extended its service in all aspects of women related issues around A.P. Centre Administrative of Kadapa Region Smt.Aswini was invited to create an awareness over women issues by the Women Empowerment Cell, Sri Kamisetty Subba Rao Chennamma Degree college, Proddatur.
The Chief Administrator has made clear that women can be beneficial to utilize the services like Health, Educational Rehabilitation, Impoverishment, Psychological and Police Protection being provided by the SAKHI. The help line numbers 181 for women Issues, 1089 and 112 for children issues may be utilized as and when needed. The SAKHI centre Felicitation Officer Smt.Kamal Bee addressed the invitees.
The WEC convener Smt. M.Anuradha lakshmi members, Smt . B.Chandrika,Dr.M.Rama Chandra Reddy principal , and other Women Teaching and Non Teaching staff attended in this programme.

NATIONAL WOMEN TEACHERS DAY
JANUARY, 3- 2018
On the Occasion of National women Teachers Day, Women Empowerment Cell organized a meeting in the Auditorium. The WEC convener, the Principal, the WEC members and the girl students of our college participated in this meeting.
The College Principal spoke about women Empowerment quoting the names of the well known women of different sectors and advised the students to the follow them and reach great heights in their lives. The WEC convener Smt. M.Anuradha lakshmi explained why the birth day of Savithri bai phoole is celebrated as womens teachers Day. She said Savithri Bhai Phoole started the first school for girls in the era when girl education was a taboo, Because of the of this she faced great insults but didn’t go back. She was the first woman teaches to give education to the child widows by providing shelter to them. She providing food and shelter for many orphan children. Smt M. Anuradha lakshmi advised the students to follow the footsteps of Savithri Bhai Phoole.

NATIONAL GIRL’S CHILD DAY
The WEC organized a programme on 24-01-2019 on the occasioned of National Girl Child day on our premises.
In this programme our college principal explained the welfare schemes for the girl and the importance of girl education. He also suggested our responsibility to bring down drop outs and encourage girls should be dealt with severely he said. Latter the girl students took out a rally with the slogan ‘ Beti Bachao and Beti Padhavo
