Staff Code of Conduct Policy :
The aim of this code is to promote good standard of conduct among the staff members. All the staff members should be aware of the fundamentals of this policy, like the source of advice and support about the appropriate conduct and the disciplinary actions to be faced for the breach of code.
Expected Conduct :
Employees has to
- Be courteous with students, colleagues and visitors of the college.
- Follow the rules and procedures of the college.
- Be sincere in their duty and promote the good name of the college.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of all college information.
- Take reasonable steps to curb any activities of discrimination.
- Participate in the training and development programs that contribute to the prosperity of the college.
- Be careful in their dressing, language and behaviour.
- Be punctual and prompt and make best use of working hours.
- Be vigilant over any misuse of the college infrastructure either by the students or by others.
Professional Relationships :
- The college strives to provide learning friendly atmosphere and to maintain good rapport between the faculty and the students.
- Employee must be aware of their professional boundaries.
- They should never get themselves involved in the activities that are against the ethics of their profession.
- The employees have to maintain positive social relationship in the adult learning environment.
- The staff should also avoid giving much lenience to the students which has detrimental impact on both of them.
Personal Conduct Outside the College :
An employee conduct in his/her private life affects the reputation of the college. Any offensive activity that is against the approved societal norms should not be carried out.
Benefits and advantages :
Employees must avoid accepting any gifts or benefits that compel them to make compromises in their duty.
Introduction :
Student Admission Policy and Procedures is for the application and admission of students into different programmes of the college.
General Principles :
- The policy and procedures provide equal opportunities to students and fulfil the educational needs of the differentlyabled.
- Students are given unbiased guidance or advice.
- Students have the right to appeal about any aspect of the way in which their application or admission was managed.
- College has the right to cancel any programme onto which students have been accepted, in accordance with its rules and regulations.
Implementation of Policy and Procedures :
- All feeder colleges and the students applying individually should be made aware of the terms of student admissions policy and procedures by the Academic Cell (AC) of the college.
- AC monitors the student application and admission process, by providing the materials and means for application to the students.
- All the applications are processed by the AC in accordance with students Admissions policy and procedures.
- The entry requirements like student age, academic qualification etc. are looked after by AC
Admission Process :
The applications are received directly from an individual or via submitting an application along with the required documents by post.
- As per the latest instructions and guidelines of the C.C.E the college undergoes the process of making admissions through online process.
- The AC maintains the records of all student applications and admissions.
- The eligible students are given scholarships as per the Government norms and procedures laid by Government of Andhra Pradesh.
- In case of cancellation of admission, the college never refund any fee paid by the student.
Student Code of Conduct Policy
Introduction :
- College is bound to assure a safe, positive and learning environment to the students and a respectful and cooperative working environment to the staff.
- All students are expected be abide by its code of conduct for the progress of the college.
- The students who are responsible to breeches of this code are subjected to disciplinary actions mentioned in the college Disciplinary Policy and Procedure.
Code of Conduct to Students :
- The code takes into consideration the conduct of the students both on and off college grounds if it affects the reputation of the college.
- Students may raise matters of concern either directly to the college staff or through writing anonymously.
General Rules :
Students should
- Be courteous with their fellow students. The staff and the visitors.
- Avoid using offensive language and mal handling of the infrastructure.
- Inform the member of the staff their concerns about the conduct of fellow students.
- Dress appropriately and be punctual to college.
- Be honest and prompt in their academic activities. Bulling and harassment is not tolerated.
- Be free to approach the staff if they feel they are bullied. Even banter can be perceived as bullying.
- Wear ID cards all the time they stay in college and should show when asked.
- Report lost or stolen identity cards to a member of staff immediately and get a new card.
- Take care of their personal belongings.
- Report suspicious packages or items.
Health and Safety :
Students should
- Not tamper with the safety or medical equipment.
- Report to a member of staff if a fellow student needs urgent medical attention.
- Be alert in case of any untoward incidents.
- Stay together in perfect harmony.
- Not bring pets or any objectionable things in to the campus.
- Not consume alcohol.
- Not smoke or use any tobacco products.
- Not engage in, encourage, condone or conceal criminal activity.
- Report to a member of staff any serious incidents of aggressive or violent behaviour of other students or members of staff.
Attendance and Utilisation of the Infrastructure :
Students should
- Attend all classes, tutorials and activities unless they have received prior authorization for absence or unwell.
- Students who require time off college for legitimate reasons should request authorization for absence according to the college Attendance Policy.
- Treat resources and facilities belonging to the college with respect.
- Use college resources only for their intended purposes.
- Be vigilant about their safety when using the internet, should not provide personal details, contact information or images to strangers.
- Not post images of fellow students or members of staff on the internet.
- Not access inappropriate material.
Student Attendance Policy
Aim of the Policy :
The aims of the attendance policy are
- To ensure that staff and students are aware of their responsibilities for attendance and absence to the statutory requirements detailed within the education Act of Andhra Pradesh.
- Provide clarity on the college expectations of student attendance.
Advantages :
- Through this policy the college can monitor the attendance of the students and see that they get maximum benefit from all the educational opportunities offered by the college.
- Unauthorized absence and lateness is discouraged. Where it is appropriate, according to the student Disciplinary policy and procedures strict action will be taken.
Responsibilities of the Teachers :
- It is the teacher responsibility to maintain the attendance registers.
- Taking attendance should be completed within five minutes of each class.
- Failure to maintain a register will result in action under the staff code of conduct.
- Any concern including repeated or prolonged absence should be reported to the designated safeguarding Lead.
- If the student is absent for more than ten consecutive working days, the parents should be informed.
